Hi, I will be travelling with my wife and 11 year old son to zermat using a saver day pass for myself and wifey (giving us free travel) and a junior card for my son (giving him the same).

According to the glacier pardise website, my son gets to travel for free, is that right? seems generous as the card can be bought for chf 30.

second question, i know if using a half price card or travelpass adults get 50% reduction…..does that also apply to the saver day pass?

Regarding the junior card, this is correct: with the junior travelcard for CHF 30, children from the age of 6 up to their 16th birthday can travel on public transport for a whole year, accompanied by a parent with a valid ticket.
