All online ticket purchases from SBB are automatically confirmed by e-mail. Have you recently bought a ticket online but did not receive an e-mail confirmation? In such situations, we recommend you do the following:
1. Check your spam folder: Sometimes the simplest solution is the most obvious one. Check your spam folder in your e-mail inbox. The purchase confirmation may have been mistakenly classified as spam. If you find the e-mail you are looking for in the spam folder, mark it as ‘Not spam’ so that future messages will be delivered correctly to your inbox.
2. Enough space in your e-mail inbox: A common reason for difficulties in receiving e-mails is a full inbox. Every e-mail account has a set storage capacity and if this is used up, no more e-mails will be delivered to you. So make sure that your mailbox isn’t full.
3. Check in your customer account: If you were logged in when buying your ticket, you can also check your order at SBB.ch. To do this, sign in, go to your profile and click on ‘Orders’. If the booking isn’t there, the purchase wasn’t successful. The blocked amount on your credit card will be refunded within a few days.
4. Guest purchase: Did you purchase the ticket as a guest and didn’t receive a confirmation? In this case, it’s best to call the SBB Contact Center on 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min., 24/7). The staff can check whether the confirmation e-mail didn’t reach you due to a possible typing error in the e-mail address.
Our tip: Log in when buying tickets so you can see all the purchases you made in your profile and ensure that they were successfully completed.
We hope this information is helpful and that you will soon find the confirmation e-mail you’re looking for!
