I recently purchased the Swiss Travel Pass. I am attempting to book train tickets on the SBB App. When I choose a train time that I want the “Point to Point Ticket” or the “Supersaver Ticket” option does not let me purchase the ticket (greyed out). However, if I click on an upgraded ticket it allows me to purchase. Anyone have any ideas why I can only book “Upgraded” tickets even though the Point to Point and Supersaver Tickets are covered by the travel pass?

Holding the Swiss Travel Pass, you do not have to book tickets, the Swiss Travel Pass is your ticket. You do not have to book trains, as our trains have free seating. Read more on that here:

Why are upgrade tickets available, though? Well, in the event you hold a 2nd class travel pass, and you wish to upgrade to 1st class for a specific journey, you have the option to purchase upgrade tickets.
