Tickets on SBB Mobile for Zurich transport

Today when going to work I got a ticket via the SBB Mobile app. The App has this “Short-distance and single” ticket section which makes it possible to quickly pay with your pre-saved credit card. During the purchase the app display “ZVV Single Ticket” and “Valid: 30 minutes from xx:xx”. There is no information whatsoever that it is a short-distance ticket and what the definition of a short distance is. Even when you click on the small info icon the first sentence is “ZVV Single Ticket Valid for unlimited travel on all public transportation services within the applicable zones during the period of validity”. Please find the screenshots attached. The control in the tram asked me to pay 75 Franks because I drove more than 2km. Never heard of this rule before and I am very disappointed by the information provided on the app.

A ZVV Single Ticket Short Distance is valid on the selected route for 30 minutes. For the fine received on the tram I recommend to contact ZVV service: 0848 000 153 / Mo–Fr 08.00–16.00 Uhr

I think, both of you are right.

@ElenaG correctly said that the ticket is valid for 30 minutes. However, a Short Distance ticket is not a zone ticket, you cannot use it freely for travel within zone 110 yet between the entered start/end point. And, the distance between the two stations must not exceed 2 kilometres. I personally find, the description in the pop-up is misleading and not crystal clear. There could definitely be a better description.
