Money not taken from Half Fare Plus

Although I have activated my Half Fare Plus, my first two tickets are charged from the credit card. Is this a common bug?

How to refund Credit Card now, and take money from the 2000 voucher instead?

I’m sorry to hear that your tickets were charged to your credit card even though you have activated your Half Fare Travelcard PLUS. This issue could be due to various reasons and may not necessarily be a bug.

I suggest you contact the SBB Contact Center at +41 (0)848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min) to report the issue and get assistance with the refund process (if possible). Alternatively, you can contact us through our online form or via chat (scroll to the bottom of the page).

Most probably you missed switching the payment method via the icon located on the left of the big red “buy ticket…” button. Like in most other webshops, adding an additional payment method will not automatically switch to that one with your next purchase. The previously used payment method will keep being used, unless you change it by tapping that “credit card” icon on the left of the red “buy…” button. The same also applies separately for the EasyRide slider.
