I person buying tickets for 4 travellers

We are travelling to Switzerland in June 2024. We will purchase 4 Half Fare Cards and then 4 saver day passes for the four long travel days, the other days we will purchase point to point as required. My intention was to purchase all four HFCs and the SDPs on my SBB app. Can I then transfer these to another SBB app in the names of the 3 other travellers. I know I can print out the HFCs and SDPs but I was trying to keep them digital. Another reason is in case I lose my phone on the trip, then all access to the party tickets will be lost.

Nice to read that you will visit our country.

You cannot transfer tickets to another SBB Mobile app, yet you can forward the a screenshot of the ticket’s QR code to others, for example in your family chat.

The Swiss Half Fare Card and the Swiss Travel Pass cannot be displayed in the SBB Mobile app, you will have to show them as part of the PDF from your device, or as printed hard copy. The latter is always useful.

Keep in mind that everyone has to show their physical passport together with the tickets upon ticket inspection.

Thanks Rolland, that makes sense and quite easy to forward a PDF of the ticket to the other 3 travelers. We will also have paper backups of tickets and HFC in case of a phone loss during trip.
