Hello Biethausoi94
If you talk about the Swiss Travel Pass, it is valid for the Swiss stretch, from Chiasso to Lugano. You need a separate ticket from Milan to Chiasso for the Italian part.
There are two possible tickets:
- A Eurocity (EC) ticket, from Milano Centrale to Lugano; declare the Swiss Travel Pass as reduction type ‘GA Travel Card’. By doing so, the Swiss stretch will be free of charge.
- An Arcobaleno Transfrontaliera Individual Ticket Milano Central to Chiasso. Be aware, this ticket is valid on regional trains (RE80) only, not on EC trains.
→ If you use the Swiss Travel Pass Flex, make sure you have it activated before entering Switzerland.
Let us know if you have got more questions.
Kind regards,
Roland
