Pending transaction Swiss Travel

I made a payment from my LLoyd bank card for 2 Swiss Pass. The transaction is still pending, I don’t know whether the money could come through or not. How can I cancel it and buy a new Swiss Pass, since my trips will start in 4 days?

Your credit card must support 3D secure ID otherwise the payment will fail. Most European webshops require 3D secure. Check with your bank.

Alternatively, purchase the Swiss Travel Pass from the Switzerland Travel Center, their webshop is less restrictive:

Hi, I contacted the SBB and they said they can’t find my order. But my money is still pending in my bank account and I can’t use that amount of money to buy the new pass. What should I do now?

In this case, the purchase failed. The mony has been reserved on your account and will again be released in case of a failed purchase. It may take a few hours, check your bank account again.

If you had troubles purchasing the pass from SBB, I suggest that you should purchase from STC, the Switzerland Travel Center, the travel agency owned by SBB:

Their webshop is less restrictive in what concerns the acceptance of credit cards. The SBB webshop requires credit cards with 3D secure activated, otherwise the payment fails.

Hi,

It’s already 7 days since the day I bought the pass and my money hasn’t been released 😭😭😭 It’s about £400 so I need to take it back and pay for new pass.

daphne_h An amount can be hold as long as a month. You could open a complaint about this case to have more details about the SBB policy:

As an example, I now have an amount blocked by Amazon for 9 days, but it was only 10 cents to verify a new card.
