availing Swiss TravelPass discount in the app while booking ticket

Hi, I have booked Swiss Travel Pass for June for an intended travel. while the pass shows up in my SBB app, when i am trying to check fares/book ticket for discounted lines (not fully covered by STB) like Wengen–Kleine Scheidegg, I am unable to choose Swiss travel pass in the app to avail 25% discount. any guidance on how to do this using the app pls?

You can get the discount at the counter only. The SBB Mobile app cannot issue tickets with 25% off.

There is no need to purchase mountain excursion tickets in advance and I strongly recommend not to do so. What if the weather is so bad and you do not want go or can’t go? Just purchase the tickets on-site.

To apply the half fare discount, for example to purchase upgrade tickets for 1st class, you can set the Half Fare setting in your passenger details; to do so, do a dummy booking and click on the pen displayed above the ticket offer. Set it to Half Fare and save the setting. The app reloads the offer applying the half fare.

at the same time, one more sub query - while i have the travel pass, can i just choose the half fare and save it for the ticket booking, when needed?

I just told you what we, the Swiss, do when planning mountain excursions. We wait for the weather forecast which is not reliable more than 2 days out.

Yes, you can save the half fare option while doing a dummy booking. The app keeps the setting for your next purchase even if you do not complete the dummy booking.

On tab Profile, you can add co-passengers, for example other adults being part of your group, and then you can purchase tickets for them, too, and all in one stop. The Half Fare option is available for them, too.

Simply kerp in mind that e-ticket and mobile tickets need your physical ID card or passport (no photos, no copies).
