Clarification of point-to-point ticket

Hi, I’m confused with the description of the point-to-point ticket. It says it’s a “one-way or return ticket”.
Take the train from Zurich HB to Luzern as an example. If I buy one point-to-point from Zurich HB to Luzern. Can I also use the same ticket when I travel back from Luzern to Zurich HB by train, or I have to buy another ticket for my return trip?

It is easy as that:

A one-way ticket → allows you to travel one time in the indicated direction:

Zürich HB to Luzern.

A return ticket ⇄ allows you to travel one time in each direction, thus:

Zürich HB to Luzern
Luzern to Zürich HB.
