Dear All,

I am arriving with my family of 2 (spouse and daughter 11) to Zurich in June.

I intend to travel to Paris on the same day and come back the following day.

For the next 5 days, my wife and daughter will be touring across switzerland. Namely, Lucerne, Interlaken, Mt. Titlis, Geneva and one day of Zurich city tour. Dueing these 5 days - I will be working.

On 6th day, we all may go for Grindelwald for a day trip.

As I am not traveling a lot, I will buy my tickets at actual rates. But for wife and daughter - basis my analysis it may make sense to buy a swiss travel pass for wife and get a family pass for my daughter.

But on sbb.ch, when I select a 6 day travel pass for an adult, it shows value as 379 CHF, but the moment I add a passanger as my daughter, it increases the value by 180 CHF more.

I basically wanted to avail swiss travel pass + family card, which allows a kid below 16 to travel free of cost.

Can you please advise, what would be best card / tucket to buy for our trip to 2 days of Paris and 6 days of wife and daughters trips across switzerland.

Also with swiss travel pass, do I still have to buy additional tickets for travelling to zurich<->Titlis, zurich<->lucerne, interlaken and for zurich city tours.

I am completely confused looking at different websites. Much appreciate your reply to help me figure out right pass.

There is a checkbox you need to tick to confirm that the child will always be accompanied by a parent. That gives you the family card. Otherwise you get a youth travel pass.
