Seat reservation

I purchased a point to point ticket, but in order to purchase a cheaper super saver ticket, I made a duplicate reservation for the same destination as the point to point section and received a refund for the previously purchased point to point section ticket.

However, when I first made a point-to-point ticket reservation, I paid a fee of 5CHF to reserve my seat. Since refunds are not possible, is there a way to refund or change my seat reservation for the changed train? I purchased a total of 4 pieces.

Existing point to point train: basel sbb > interaken west (ICE371 7/7/2024 17:56-19:52)

Seat: Coach7 81-34

Repurchase: basel sbb > interaken west (IC1083 7/7/2024 18:28-20:22)

Unfortunately, seat reservations generally cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Trains between Basel and Interlaken are definitely not crammed full on a sunday evening. Also, Basel SBB is the terminal stop for that IC61, so if you’re early enough on the platform, you’re basically boarding an empty train. So a seat reservation is really not necessary, just save that money.

If you have bought the supersaver ticket for the same train as your reservation you would have been able to use it. Reservations and tickets are separate, not linked.
