Cannot purchase the ticket from Zurich to Jungfraujoch

I have searched the route and would like to take the one from Zurich to Grindelwald Terminal. However, when I proceed to purchase the ticket, it showed that “Unfortunately, an error has occurred.”.
There is another option, which is from Zurich to Lauterbrunnen, it showed no problem to purchase this route.
I have searched the tickets from Zurich to Grindelwald Terminal a week before, and no problem at all. Is that the train is full or route has been changed?

I would not purchase the Jungfraujoch tickets in advance. What if there is bad weather, while you will end up in the clouds and have zero view? Would you still want to go, knowing you are doing the most expensive mountain trip one can do in Switzerland?

You can easily purchase the tickets a day before at the train station in Zurich, once you know what the weather will be like. Weather forecasts more than 2 days out are rarely reliable in Switzerland. You could still reserve the seats now, from the Jungfrau railways’ website. It would not mean a big loss if you decide not to go; the reservation for priority boarding is CHF 10 per pax.

If you insist, then try entering the names in “all caps” instead of capitalizing the first letter only. This could fix the error.

Thank you for your recommendation. I have tried to entering the names in “all caps” . But the error message still occurs.

That looks like some temporary issue with the Jungfrau Railways ticket data in the SBB webshop. If really insisting on buying the tickets now, you could purchase the SBB ticket to Grindelwald separately (works!) and get the Jungfraujoch ticket from the Jungfrau Railways => site

Just don’t do that, as Roland already wrote. Because if the mountains are covered in thick clouds that day, it will be the most expensive fog you’ve ever seen in your life!

A ticket from Zurich to the Jungfraujoch is valid on all three routes that go there. So there is no need to specifically buy the route via Grindelwald Terminal. With a return ticket you can also choose to return via a different route. I often suggest people to go up via Grindelwald Terminal, and return via Wengen/Lauterbrunnen.
But I would not buy this in advance. Get it at the station in Zurich the day before.
