I’m a frequent user of EasyRide and I know that sometimes it will take a while to determine the location, so it is important to be at the station earlier before starting EasyRide.
Today, when I was at Bülach train station and standing in front of the SBB office main entrance, as usual it took a while to determine the location and when I saw the “start” button, I swiped right to start the journey.
To my surprise, when the train conductor checked my ticket in the train, there was no EasyRide ticket! I was issued a fine of chf100 as he did not believe me, despite my efforts to explain.
I definitely swiped right to start the journey! The only explanation is that there is something wrong with the app. I know this problem could have been avoided if I had checked again after starting the journey to ensure that the timer was running, but why would the user needs to do that if the EasyRide function works? I’m being penalised for trusting the app?!
Dear SBB, will you now also brush me off like the train conductor and ask me to pay the fine? Or would you really try to listen to me and look into my case?
