Wrong Date - Off by one day

I bought tickets 20 minutes ago and realized right away I bought one day early. I requested a refund immediately - not sure if I used the right reason code. What is the best next step?

Did you purchase the tickets as a registered user or as a guest?

E-Tickets are usually not refundable if purchased as a guest. Let’s see what SBB replies…

RolandP Thanks. I’m hoping they can let me do a clean exchange since I need simply need the exact same ticket the next day.

An exchange is not possible. Each ticket has to be cancelled and reissued. The best is to purchase the same ticket again for the correct date, so you have a proof that you will travel.

Is it a Point-to-point ticket or a Supersaver ticket?

RolandP yes, I just repurchased for the right date. Hoping that will help matters. I believe it was a super saver (the non protected option). I did put in a refund request right away. I just realized as I went to rebook that even when I chose the correct date for some reason it kept bringing me to the day before.
