Timetable not yet updated?

Hello, when could I realistically expect that the timetable for September will be confirmed & direct trains available? I keep seeing this message on the times I am seeking “The timetable has not yet been updated as of 2 September 2024 and will be adjusted at a later date”.

Specifically I am hoping to book the 10.30am Lugano to Venice direct train (ie. no changes) - however this is not showing for Sept? And the other times all have the above message so I’m not sure if I should just keep waiting and checking? thank you

We are eagerly waiting for the reopening of the Gotthard Base Tunnel in September 2024, after it has been closed for a year due to structural damage and repair work caused by a cargo train accident.

For now, the reopening date is still not known, it was communicated to be in September 2024, yet the schedule for September and later has not been finalised yet. Just wait another month, it will certainly be communicated in the near future.

RolandP thank you. I see in recent days the train i am hoping for has appeared on the Trenitalia website for purchase but is not yet on the SBB website? which also makes me not confident in purchasing yet. From the seat map it appears there are very few groups of seats with tables - is this correct? or do they fold out once you’re seated? thanks again
