Zermatt saver day fare

Dears,
I have a saver day pass ticket from Basel to Zermatt on 5th July and return on 9th July. However due to current flooding in Zermatt, I would like to cancel these fares and receive refund. When I try to cancel the ticket, I do not see any option which is suitable to weather-related disasters.

The Saver day Pass is bound to a non refund and no exchange policy. Since there is a possibility to travel to Zermatt it also doesnt help your case. More info here

If there is no reason to go there, I would still ask for a refund, please call SBB: +41 51 225 56 78, and explain that you do not wish to travel under these unsuitable cirumstances.

To make it short: That’s not possible.

Have you checked the => conditions for returning saver tickets (compared to regular point-to-point tickets), before opting for the saver deals?
The deal with saver tickets is quite simple: Lower cost, but higher risk.

BTW, Zermatt is basically => still standing and reachable again by public transport. All major mountain rides are operating.
