I noticed in my reservation, we have 3 members on Offerta 9 and 1 member in Offerta 10. We are one family and we should be sitting in same area.

I really appreciate if you good review my booking and adjusted accordingly.

I don’t know where you have bought your tickets, Trenitalia.com or sbb.ch.
In tickeshop trenitalia you could find coaches and seat numbers for your tickets and reservations. If you have flex tarif you could exchange your reservations.

“Offerta 9” and “Offerta 10” do not look like seat assignments. The system normally tries to put you together, and since you booked this before 99% of all the other people that will travel on that train that should have been possible.

Use the Trenitalia App to look up your booking, and you should be able to see where you are sitting. Nobody here can do that for you.

Reservation was through SBB.CH. Seat number are 66. 65, 64 on coach 9 but the fourth member is 56 and on different coach 10

I suggest you to discuss with SBB Contactcenter. Probably you will find better solution for you in first class. I don’t know whether priority seats are different, price is 76 Euro for first or priority class.

The priority seats are the problem. There are not many per car, and that is what made it impossible for the system to put you together. Why did you get priority seats?

Seats reservations can normally not be changed. You may be able to get new ones and get the old ones refunded, but I would not bother. Just look for free seats together when on the train, or ask if you can trade with someone.

No, my problem is not resolved. I am not sure why it’s hard to put family with 4 members on same row.

I registered 1st class and I received this unacceptable service!!

The only way to try and change your reservation is to call us at 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min.) or at +41 51 225 78 56 (from abroad) or to ask at any SBB counter in Switzerland.

I am sorry that you are not satisfied with your purchase, but I would like to remind you that the SBB Community is a space for discussion between travellers and is not a customer service. Also, no one is responsible for seat allocation, especially if you have purchased your tickets online. We can, however, gladly assist you with changing your ticket at the above-mentioned coordinates.

Choathooshe95 You should not except a better service if you book 1st class tickets. You have only larger seats.

What have you tried so far?
Normally 4 people booking together will be placed together. Especially since you booked this so early. Most people that will be on that train have not even bought their tickets yet. So placing you together should have happened automatically.

But somehow you got assigned priority seats, and there were no 4 of those together. Did you request priority seats?

There is normally no way to modify reservations, as this is a train, not a plane. You can even travel on that train (within Switzerland) without reservations. I would suggest that since Sep 10 is ages away to just let it rest till you are here, and then sort it out at a station.

On sbb.ch, such seats can be choose with Easy accessible seat. On trenitalia.com with Priority seats. I find the designation of the SBB clearer. Priority could indicate an advantage, for example priority lanes at the airport or priority boarding.
