Geneva to Murren help!

Our family of seven is flying into Geneva from New York on Wednesday, July 10 at 10:45 AM. We are staying in Murren. Do I need to pre-purchase our train tickets? Or, is it OK for us to buy the tickets at the airport when we arrive? I want to make sure the seven of us stay together. Thank you so much for your help!

There is no need to pre-purchase train tickets, you can also purchase it upon arrival at the SBB Travel Center.

Swiss trains are free-seating, there is no seat assignment with your ticket. And, Geneva-Airport is the departure station of your train, thus plenty of seats left. Same for Bern to Interlaken Ost; the train’s occupancy will be rather low during the day in the direction Interlaken Ost.
