Reservation for Children Ticket with Parents Swiss Half Fare ticket

I will traveling to Swiss with my wife and 2 children (10 and 14 years old).
I have bought the 2 Swiss Half Fare Ticket for me and my wife and get swiss family card.

Question : when i purchase the train tickets, do I need to add my 2 child name in reservation?
If yes , for my children ticket should i tick Junior Travelcard or Children Co-Travelcard (in discount card)?
So they can have free ticket.

A few things to note:

Our country’s name is Switzerland, we, the inhabitants, are the Swiss 🙂
Seat reservation and train ticket are two different things in Switzerland. You do not need a seat reservation (optional) yet a ticket for the adults.

Simply purchase the tickets for your wife and yourself at half fare. The children travel for free when being accompanied by one parent.

Adult tickets don’t include tickets for children. Children until 15.99 years need a half-fare ticket.
But I would recommend going to an office and ask for the „Juniorkarte“ for your children (30.- a year, to go with parents, if they have a ticket)

Except if, like the OP, you have the Swiss Half Fare Card, with the Family Card. Then children up to the age of 16 travel for free, so no need for a Juniorkarte…
