Hello Xeambashex13
Welcome to the SBB Community.
As volunteers we answer questions from other customers, yet we also do like niceties, therefore, hello first of all 🙂
The annual timetable change for public transit in Europe happens on 15 DEC this year.
Furthermore, it is totally normal that you cannot book tickets that far in advance; this is rail travel, not air travel. The vast majority of public transit users do purchase their tickets 5 minutes before departure, in particular what concerns national tickets.
To sell tickets almost a year in advance would not be convenient, neither for the railway companies nor for the customers. By that time, the construction works are not yet scheduled; consequently, it would mean a huge effort for the railway company to inform all customers that the itinerary with their ticket is no longer doable. And customers would have to reschedule their trips, thus zero benefit.
Simply be patient, this might be a challenge for someone who likes structured travel; however, there is no reason to worry.
Kind regards,
Roland
