What happens if the first leg of an international SBB saver offer is delayed?

Please see the screenshot below for an example. I would like to take advantage of the saver offer shown, but I’m worried that if the first leg (Paris -> Lausanne) is delayed, I will miss the specified connection from Lausanne to Visp (7 minute planned connection time in Lausanne). In this case, if the train into Lausanne is delayed by >7 min, can I take the next available train from Lausanne to Visp for no extra cost? Thank you in advance.

In addition to the information provided, we recommend that you request a delay confirmation from the train staff of the TGV. This way, you can be sure not to encounter any issues on the next available train.

You just find and take the next train. There is no need to exchange your ticket. And even the confirmation for the delay is not really necessary, as the conductor of the Lausanne - Visp train will know that the inbound TGV was late.

And seven minutes is plenty of time to change trains. Isn’t it great how the railways try to avoid wasting your time?
