Half Fare Travel Card for non-residents

Is it possible to buy the 190chf/year half fare travel card ? The Swiss Half Fare Travel Card costs 190chf/month

My understanding so far is that i need to link a SwissPass (https://sbb-tickets.cc/en/buying/pages/abonnement/abo.xhtml)

And when i click to apply through the form, the form thats available is a Half Fare Travelcard order form

In this form, it doesnt say anything that i have to be a resident, and it seems i can put my address in whatever country (it also requires a passport, which is another hint i cant apply not being a resident)

any insights on applying for the 190chf/year half fare travel card ?

The Swiss Half Fare Card for 1 month costs CHF 120.

The resident’s Half Fare Card is available to anyone, you must have a Swiss address, or an address in one of the neighbouring countries, for the delivery of the SwissPass card, however.
And, it is a subscription; it will automatically renew, something a tourist will not need.

To purchase the resident’s half fare card makes sense if you are a returning Swiss visitor. For tourists, there is the Swiss Half Fare Card at CHF 120:

so if i put an address thats not in switzerland, france, germany, liechenstein, austria or italy, they wont deliver ?

You can use the friend’s address by adding your name as c/o information.

No, the card is not sent to simply any country in this world, to avoid high delivery costs.

The Half Fare Card is useful for someone who is often here; usually this people have an address in Switzerland as well, being a company office, a second home, a friends place, etc.

when i fill the form for the half fare travel card, they send me a swisspass loaded with the half fare travel card ? is it connected to my sbb app account ? if so, would i need the card ?

The SwissPass Mobile cannot be used without an additional proof of ID, being your SwissPass card or passport / government ID card. In that sense, yes, you need the SwissPass card, otherwise you cannot set up the mobile application. The latter is not a standalone-application, yet rather a copy of your SwissPass card.
