Inquiry Regarding Arrival Time

Good morning, my name is Sailing and I’m a tourist. I have purchased a Mobilis Individual Ticket from Aigle to Les Diablerets for December 13th, 2024. It is train R71 from platform 13.

On your website, the train departs at 16:29 and arrives at 17:19. However, after completing the purchase and downloading the PDF ticket, the arrival time changed to 18:29.

Could you please clarify which arrival time I should rely on? Additionally, could you explain the reason for this change in the schedule?

It is not the arrival time of the train, but the end of validity of the ticket. Such Mobilis tickets are valid for 2 hours (16:29 - 18:29). You can take any train in this period, also the next one, with departure at 17:29 and arrival at 18:19. If you are earlier or later, you must cancel the ticket before 16:29 and buy a new one with the right time.

Contrary to what you think you did not purchase a ticket for a train. You cannot buy a ticket for R71.
Trains are mass transit. You bought a ticket good for unlimted travel by all means of public transit in the Mobilis zones 80,141,142,145,146 and 147. And that for two hours.
Note that there was no need whatsoever to buy this ticket in advance. This is public transit. This is like buying a ticket for the New York Subway 4 weeks in advance… Nobody does this.

Also, how are you getting to Aigle? It is not necessary in Switzerland to buy each section of a trip separately. If for example you are travelling from Geneva Airport to Les Diablerets you just buy a ticket Geneve Airport to Les Diablerets. And you can buy that, as with all tickets, up to the moment of departure.
