I recently traveled to Switzerland, and on my first day there, I accidentally left my tote bag on a train. The bag contained all of my summer clothes, which I had planned to wear during my upcoming stop in Dubai—part of my return trip home due to a layover. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize I’d left it in the overhead compartment until a few hours later. I immediately submitted a lost property request with SBB.
A few days ago, they responded, asking me to provide more specific details about the bag, which I promptly did. However, it’s now been another four days, and I haven’t heard back. I understand there’s a chance I may not recover the bag and will need to buy new clothes for Dubai, but this bag held some of my favorite summer outfits and a few sentimental souvenirs. While nothing in it was valuable or new, I hope it wasn’t stolen.
I’m willing to have the bag shipped to Australia if found, but I’m concerned about the lack of communication from SBB. Do you know how long it typically takes for them to process these requests?
