Dear SBB,
I would like to inquire whether you could help or find a solution to the following matter. There are non-smokers, smokers, and people who smoke cannabis. In my opinion, smoking and drug use are private matters. Would it be possible to ban smoking on the premises of the train station?
Because of smokers, non-smokers, children, pregnant women, and the elderly are forced to inhale cigarette smoke, which they do not want. Recently, it has become increasingly common for people to smoke cannabis on the platforms, and even in the train toilets, causing everything to stink and smell unpleasant. Not to mention people lighting up cigarettes on the stairs and escalators. Cigarette butts are thrown away, creating litter.
Every day, thousands of people suffer from cigarette smoke and the awful smell of cannabis. Smoking areas should be placed at least 5 meters away from the entrances so that people entering or exiting are not forced to inhale harmful smoke.
Could you do something to ensure that non-smoking individuals, children, and infants can wait for their trains or travel on trains in a smoke-free environment?
Thank you in advance!
Kind regards,
Magdolna Darvas
