Board/alight with staff for assistance, register in advace

Hello! I am hoping to make a few stops while traveling from chur to Tirano on local trains. In SBB app, I am seeing that stops are on request at these stations and can only be made with staff. Can someone pls help understand where exactly do we need to put in this request for getting off or on the train and how much in advance?

Usually you can find buttons near the doors and you must press these buttons 2-3 minutes in advance or when the train leaves the previous station. This request will then be displayed in the driver’s cab. Most trains have now displays and/or loudspeaker announcements to inform you about the next stations and remain you that the stop is on request. If no buttons are available, inform the train’s staff. .

At the stations, buttons are also available to inform the driver with a signal. If no buttons are available, stand on the platform to be visible.

Thank you for this information @Danhiel ! Much appreciated. Can you pls kindly share where the button is usually located at the stations or what sign to look for? Some of our connections are tight so just want to make sure we find it quickly. Thank you!

The buttons are usually situated in the middle of the platform with other amenities such as timetables, ticket vending machines. Sometimes you have two separate buttons, one for each direction. However, not all stations of the line are stops on request, only the small ones. If you have connections to other trains, for example in Pontresina, all trains stop.
