FIP card valid

Hi I’m new to this, travelling from the UK, can anybody advise me on FIP card travel in Switzerland. I understand that when buying online I can select the point to point half price option as the FIP card entitles you to this. However I’m confused about part of the journey from Lausanne to Zermatt, I’ve purchased a half price ticket but is this valid on the train from Visp to Zermatt. I’ve read 2 different opinions so am confused.

If your FIP card includes SBB and SP (Swiss private railway), you can travel with a half fare ticket from Lausanne to Zermatt. If it only includes SBB, you have to purchase a full fare ticket for Visp-Zermatt, operated by MGB.
