Purchased a half fare instead of a full fare saver day pass.

Help! Accidentally purchased sbb saver day passes, assuming I have a half fare card when I will not.

Is there some way to either get a refund or top-up to buy the full fare saver day passes?

Buying the tickets in advance, ahead of a trip in May, so am keen to lock in the best prices early.

As a general saying: it is not possible to amend or upgrade an existing ticket. Purchased means purchased, especially for Saver fares. You could only cancel the ticket, if the ticket types allows it.

What I suggest, nontheless:

Purchase a new Saver Day Pass at full fare for the same passenger / date.
Request a refund for the half fare Saver Day Pass using this form; make sure you declare the tickets correctly:

Explain the case in the optional message field and kindly ask for a refund.
