Can you purchase a Saver Day Pass 6 months in advance online with the Half Fare Travelcard reduced rate if you do not have a Swiss Half Fare Travelcard yet but will purchase the Swiss Half Fare Travelcard later when arriving in Switzerland from overseas. (Received conflicting information when I asked about this through the help “chat”)

Yes, it is possible. No check is made when you purchase the Saver Day Pass, you must show the Half Fare Travelcard when you travel.

Another question regarding reduced Half Fare Travelcard price for Saver Day Pass. Is the Swiss Half Fare Card (for non-residents) applicable for purchasing the Saver Day Pass at the reduced Half Fare Travelcard?

Yes it is. It has the identical range of validity.

Any passenger using the Swiss Half Fare Card or e-tickets must have their physical passport with them when using this card / ticket.
