Friends Day Pass Ticket Purchase

I purchased the friends day pass for a few days and was wondering how I use it to book trains. When I go to book, it only includes swiss travel pass, half fare card, and other types. I don’t see any option for the swiss day pass even though it’s loaded on my account. Are you not able to book in advance with this pass? Thanks!

You do not need to book trains. You have a ticket (the pass is your ticket) and can thus travel.

You go to the station. You find your train. You get on and find seats. Then when the conductor comes you show the pass.

Thanks Krist. What about for journeys that require seat reservations? For example, I need to go from Milano Centrale to Grindelwald, and it says a seat reservation is required. There’s also a small part I need to pay for since it’s obviously out of network for the Italy portion.

You have to purchase an additional ticket from Milan to Domodossola from Trenitalia with seat reservation.
Your Friends Day Pass is only valid on the Domodossola to Grindelwald stretch; it does not require a seat reservation, however.
