If you are lucky the conductor may accept your explanation but it could also refuse it and sell you a new ticket with a surcharge.
Another interpretation is possible: if a reduction is not in the list, it implicitly means that it is not valid for international travel. An example: Mobilis travelcards don’t appear in the list, it means that you cannot use them between Lausanne and Vallorbe in the TGV.
However, it is confusing. If you have a Swiss Travel Pass, you can use it to buy tickets for Italy with the discount “GA”, but you cannot use it to buy tickets for France with the same discount. I can understand that some travelers are overwhelmed.
