This may happen after you have not been connected to the internet for a while, for example when your phone was in flight mode due to travel to a foreign country.
The SBB Monile app needs internet connection to update the QR code.
You can replve it by connecting to the internet and closing/reopening the SBB Mobile app. Alternatively, reinstall the app if it was not successful.
Or, have the red SwissPass card with you for such situations.
