Luggage Transfer

We’re a group doing the Haute Route in August, hiking from Chamonix to Zermatt. We would like to send luggage on, to be collected first in Zinal & again, at the end in Zermatt. Have others done this & what is the best way to organise it? (Unfortunately, the customer service number isn’t functioning at present). Many thanks.

For the luggage transfer, you’d basically need for each person a public transport ticket from Zinal to Zermatt, even though you’re hiking a (cool!) alternate route…

Depending on the group size, you might want to check with one of your accomodations whether they can arrange something, using a vehicle licensed to drive into (car-free) Zermatt.
