Seat reservations on railjet

We have eurail pass and have made reservations for 7 Aug 2025 on railjet 165 from Zurich to Vienna. We have not been able to purchase seat reservations for 1st class. Is this because it is sold out or due to construction between Innsbruck and Salzburg?

I suggest to try later. Seat reservations will perhaps be possible when the updated timetable is available.

Where did you make your reservations? You should have been able to reserve in 1st class. (I assume you have a 1st class pass).

Best place to reserve this is with the Austrian railways: www.oebb.at

Seat reservations often open relatively late in Austria currently. This because they can only load the seat inventory once they have diagrammed their rolling stock…

So I should keep trying to purchase seat assignments and they should eventually open up?
