Swiss Half Fare Cards booked for wrong date

Hello! I made an error and purchased some Swiss Half Fare cards for my group starting on the wrong date. Is there any way that I can cancel these and get a refund? They will not be used. thank you!

Welcome to the SBB Community.

As a general rule, a cancellation is only possible if the first day of validity is still in the future.

Provided you have purchased the Swiss Half Fare Card from SBB and you have purchased it with an user account, there is a free cancellation.
If you have purchased it from SBB as a guest, you will pay CHF 10 per cancellation.

If you have purchased it from another reseller (Klook, Rail Europe, etc), you have to request the refund with them.

Thank you for this reply! I did buy my Swiss Half Fare Cards on SBB.ch. However my error was that the Half Fare Card was accidentally left to the day I purchased the card, when I wanted it to be a month later. I have not used the card - please is there any way I can get a refund? I looked at the form you sent but this reason was not one of the choices on the form. Thank you for your help in finding a solution!

Please keep in mind, we are not the SBB Customer Service, I am not sure why you think we are. We are a travel support forum run by volunteering travel experts, we are helping people with our knowledge, we are not SBB employees.

It does not matter whether you have used or not the Swiss Half Fare Card, SBB cannot verify if you had used it or not.

You have to contact SBB using the contact form

Since it is time critical, you shall call SBB: +41 51 225 78 56.

You did a mistake, so there is at least little effort needed from your end in order to rectify the mistake. We cannot solve it for you but we can guide you.
