Bikes are not what it used to be-

Hello,
I think bike allocation in trains deserve space for a proper discussion, I’ve seen electric mountain bikes loaded with bags that are more than bike. If it’s powered by a motor its a motorbike. It has similar length and width as a BMW GS800.
It’s unfair for a normal bike/roadbike that its half the width not to fit in a train because these bikes are in.

Aren’t you supposed to take the bags off when puttin a bike on a train?

RolandP it does not specify anything under “bicycle” just not petrol/diesel motor.
That means I can put a tesla motor over two wheels and still able to take a train? max dimensions for width are 80cm? The space for the bike in the train is around 70cm x 170cm

A tesla motor over two wheels will no longer be a bicycle. What is considered a bicycle actually has a legal definition.
