No warning that my Ga Night subscription needed renewal

Today I travelled from Zurich HB to Milano Centrale. I was checked right after Arth Goldau and realised my travel card was not active anymore (it expired two weeks prior) so i had to pay the ticket and fine. I usually renew my ga night immediately (i have had it for two years now and i use it on a regular basis) but this year i did not receive any warning email or reminder that my travel card was expiring. I acknowledge that this is still my fault entirely, but I wanted to put this information out there because I know that many people rely on these reminder emails for renewing their subscriptions! Of course I am wondering, if there is a possibility of getting my ticket partially refunded or some sort of reply to this. After checking I realised I also did not get any reminder email for my Zurich 110 travel card; this is a major issue that needs attention and resolving (yes my reminder emails are active on my account for everything even for ads by sbb). Please keep sending these reminder emails!

I am very sorry to hear, that you had to start your trip to Milano on such a note.

Regarding your request for the reminder email to be send to help you remember, when your travelcard expires: I would suggest you get in contact with our SBB Customer Support Center at 0848 446 688 (CHF 0.08/Min) or visit an SBB ticket office to check, why you did not get the reminder e-mail. Perhaps there might have been an issue with the email or else.

I cannot tell you, if a refund is still possible but you can also check this request through the Customer Support Center or on site.
