I recently bought a ticket on the SBB app. A train from lucerne(Switzerland) to Strasbourg(France). there is a change of plans and i require a refund. however, im unable to as it states "Ticket refund not possible in the app.

Unfortunately, this ticket cannot be refunded via the app.
Go to a staffed public transport point of sale or call the SBB Contact Center on 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min.) up to one day before the first day of validity (or before the train departs if permitted by the offer).

so how do i get a refund from this

From abroad: +41 848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min.).

Note that normal price tickets are always the same price, even on the day of travel itself, so such situations can be avoided by not buying your train ticket in advance.
