Taxi from Basel to St Louis Haut Rhin Station

We will be travelling to Mulhouse in October. The tracks from Basel to St Louis Haut Rhin will be under construction. Will it be possible to get a taxi to take us from Basel SBB to St Louis Haut Rhin , France? I know we can take the tram but we want to get there quicker . I am not sure about taxis crossing the border.

To answer your question:
Taxis do cross the border, however that would be at your own expense.

When a railway is closed for maintenance the railway operators provide a replacement bus service. Train tickets are obviously accepted on these busses. So you do not need to take a taxi.

If you travel for example from Zürich to Paris, the online timetable suggests other connections via Meroux/Belfort, Neuchâtel, Lausanne or Geneva, but not via Saint-Louis - Mulhouse.
