Hello, I was just on the Milan-Basel EC64 train and I have never experience anything like what I am going to explain below:
In half of car 6 the air conditioning was not working but the heating was!! It was a journey through hell! At one point people started feeling like fainting, I have done the whole 2h journey (fortunately getting off at Brig) standing in the doors area with the door of the next car open so to get fresh air from there. Many of us complained to the head train who tried to reset the air conditioning but nothing worked.
Frankly appalling and I have been told by other passengers that that train always has problems.
Like many times when something is wrong with or on the train the controller doesn’t come round to check the tickets and neither did the police for passports once crossing the border.
I want to travel sustainability (by train) to Italy and back but if these are the conditions the plane is the only option.
