Purchased point-to-point but wanted round trip

Hello.

I recently completed a day trip to Rigi, which included a ticket from Arth-Goldau -> Rigi Kulm and back (Train 81).

When we arrived at train, it was leaving in less than a minute. Easy Ride did not work for some reason (maybe due to poor connection since I have a slow international plan) and I purchased the first ticket I could find due to the time constraint. Unfortunately, I purchased a point to point ticket when I meant for a round trip. The two round trip tickets is about 20 CHF more than my intended round trip ticket.

Is there any way I can get a partial refund of 20 CHF for this honest mistake? I checked the FAQs but could not easily find any discussion on this matter.

A round trip ticket is always double the cost of a one way ticket. It is not possible that a one way costs more than a round trip.

Can you upload the ticket without the personal information so we can check the ticket?

It is not possible to refund a ticket that has already been used.

I am attaching two screenshots:

my first ticket purchased directly
the second purchased via Easy Ride (it worked on the way down).

The total (93 CHF) seems to exceed the roundtrip ticket price of 78 CHF (can be found on the Rigi website)

These are two different types of tickets, this is why there is a price difference.

And, apparently, Mt. Rigi has a special round trip offer that is less than the total of two single tickets. The SBB webshop does also offer the round trip for a total of CHF 78.

Only SBB is able to decide whether a partial refund is granted under these circumstances. There is no guarantee, whatsoever.

Finally, you can purchase the tickets in advance, there is no need to do so in the very last minute. And, EasyRide is not recommended for mountain trips, you have learned it now.
