Dear fellow friends, i will be visiting Crans-Montana, and i need to go to Adelboden. what train do you suggest me and how to take it as i am completely new to how to use trains.

RolandP ah my dear friend Roland, thank you very much to take your spare time replying and Thank you for your response. I fully respect and appreciate the time and effort volunteers dedicate to helping others. That said, I believe mutual respect is essential — including how replies are framed. I asked questions in good faith and with clarity, not to cause a back-and-forth, but to ensure I fully understand before proceeding.
So, to reply to what was said, the journey is from Crans-Montana to Adelboden, and i am open to any suggestion whether a morning train is better to an afternoon one. or rather travelling alone is better than with family. i have keep the question open to know the different options, views, experience.
As, if someone would have asked a question about transport, in my country, i would have said that better travel alone and in the morning in my country as the transport is quite hectic in the afternoon and better not to travel with your family. if you are with your familly, better take a taxi, because this will cost you less in transport cost paying a taxi fee than buying for the whole family a train ticket.
But, nevertheless, thank you for the tip, really appreciated, i mean it. this will help me a lot for any further research. i am new to a new country and do not know how things works there. this will really help me further.

I only meant, we are more efficient (and you will have a prompt reply in return), if all information is at hand in one message, rather than asking the above bullet points in 10 different messages. A forum is not very efficient in that regard. And, we are more used to answer specific questions about tickets rather than offering help with finding the best tickets. The latter needs precise information otherwise we risk to give wrong advice.

The one-way ticket, full fare, fastest route, is CHF 67.40, return the same day, CHF 134.80.
If you travel later in the year, you could benefit from a Saver Day Pass at lower cost; it is not available the same day, however.

If you stay multiple days in Switzerland, the Swiss Travel Pass is another option. It comes with the Swiss Family Card offering free travel to your kids.

We locals use the public transit system as other use their suburban trains: go to the station, hop on, have a ride, hop off. There is no ’best time of the day as our trains run hourly, or every 30 minutes, or even every 15 minutes.

A screnic route would be Crans Montana - Montreux - Zweisimmen - Spiez - Frutigen - Kandersteg.
