Booking from Spiez to Milano Oct 11th?

I’m trying to get from Spiez to Venezia on October 11th 2025, via Milano. Myself and my family have Eurail passes for the applicable trips. I’ve been trying to reserve seats for the Swiss->Italian part of the trip, but Eurail is not giving me the option to reserve seats. I gather it may be due to the engineering works between Visp and Brig on that weekend (resulting in trains going over the mountain rather than through the tunnel), but wondering if anyone has any idea when reservations for that service might open? Looking at either EC61 or EC43, connecting with FR9723 or EC113 to Venezia. The Italian legs seem to have reservations available now.

You should try later. In such cases, reservations open only when the definitive use of the rolling stock has been established, no one knows the date. I suggest to reserve seats on the website raileurope.com, you can avoid the reservation fees of Eurail.

Thanks, I had heard that about raileurope.com (compared to booking via Eurail), but currently, if I put in the search on that website, it doesn’t even come up with any possible connection!!
I figure it must relate to the maintenance works, as if I put in dates for 3 weeks later, it comes up with all the usual connections via Milano.
I guess I will just have to wait until one of the coming Thursdays when the timetable is updated, and when they can confirm which trains they will use.
