What this is showing that you have two options. But both start with you boarding the same train in Geneva. Then you have the choice. Stay on that train and arrive in Zurich at 11:44, or change to IC 5 in Renens and arrive in Zürich 14 minutes sooner….
Some people prefer to get there as quick as possible, others prefer the convenience of a single seat ride. That is why the app is showing you both options.
(Note that normally IC1 is faster, but there are engineering works on that day I so it takes longer.)
