Regular offer International ticket

Hello,
I bought a Paris to Interlaken ticket with a single train change at Basel via sbb.ch.
The Paris to Basel leg is a TGV Lyria semi-flex standard ticket, while the Basel to Interlaken leg is an SBB IC “Regular Offer – International” ticket.

The current Basel to Interlaken ticket is for an 11:28 AM departure and does not include a seat reservation. However, I am planning to take a later train on the same day. How should I proceed?

My understanding is that no action is required on my part, as the ticket remains valid until 5:00 AM the following day.

Your understanding is correct. The story would be different if it was a Saver ticket.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Just a quick follow-up — if the ticket for the later train is more expensive, how do I pay the difference? Do I sort that out at the station before I leave, or with the conductor on the train? Appreciate your help.

With pleasure.

Regular tickets for the same route have a fixed price, that is defined annually in December and remains unchanged for a year. Thus, you can take any connection serving your itinerary and this no matter the time or train category.

In our country, dynamic pricing is only known for Saver tickets.
