Friends Day Pass for Youth: splitting the group

There are eight of us who bought Friend Day Passes for Youth to travel around Switzerland together. We are staying at an Airbnb in Interlaken, which is our main base.
Our travel plans, however, are a bit split:
The six girls want to go to Paris, and since only Geneva station has a direct train to Paris Gare de Lyon, they decided to travel from there. The two boys want to go to Salzburg, and the most convenient connection departs from Zurich.This creates a tricky situation: at first, all eight of us would head to Geneva together, but then the two boys would have to split off and go back up to Zurich to catch their train to Salzburg.
Now the question is: if we split up like that, will the Swiss Friend Day Pass still be valid?

First of all: welcome to the SBB Community.

Not sure from where you have got the information that Geneva is the only Swiss city connected to Paris by a direct TGV service. Zurich and Basel do have them, too. And both of them can be reached by direct trains from Interlaken, not so Geneva, however. I would simply have travelled to Zurich all together.

Splitting the group is possible provided one day pass is issued on the name of one of the boys.

And, keep in mind the pass is only valid to the Swiss border, not beyond.

And, as a site note, carefully check that you will be staying in an AirBnB that is officially registered as such. There are many doubtful offers. If you are unsure, ask at the tourism office where they must be registered and pay the tourist tax.
