Hello, I am traveling with 3 Deaf Adults, I am hearing. Are there any discounts for
people with disabilities?

We are traveling by train Appenzell to Grindelwald, Grindelwald to Zermatt and finally Zermatt to Geneva. I’m thinking the swiss half fare travel pass would benefit us?

Are there any transporation not included in the swiss half fair pass and expected to pay full price?

I noticed on the website there are 2 half fare passes, one is for 190 chf, the other is 120 chf. The difference is one is for a year and the other for a month right?

The other question I have would the saver day pass help us save more money. We are traveling from Oct 18 to Oct 26. It says if we purchase early we save more? But when I check the sbb train schedule, it costs the same as the saver day pass. It doesn’t seem I am saving anything extra. Am I doing/reading the schedule right?

Hello, unfortunately not.

Yes, especially if you intend not to spend all day in your hotel room in Grindelwald or Zermatt, but plan to also use some of those expensive mountain railways oder cable cars above the villages.

Yes, some smaller operation mountain rides not willing to cooperate with the Swiss public transportation system for whatever reasons. You’ll find those as gray solid lines on the => validity map if selecting ‘half fare card’ in that upper left corner box and zooming in sufficiently in order to reveal more detail. One example is the Hoher Kasten cable car southeast of Appenzell.

Yes, and the yearly one is intended for residents, while the 1 month one is available only for foreign visitors.

Saver day pass prices are dynamic and subject to supply and demand for each particular price step. So whether you’re actually saving money depends 1.) on the date purchased (how far in advance) and 2.) how much a regular ticket would cost for the intended journey.
Anyway, if a Saver Day Pass happens to be cheaper than the regular (usually point-to-point) ticket, it will be offered online as cheaper option when looking up the ticket prices for a specific itinerary. Make sure to select half fare as discount option in your passenger details in order to have the correct (half fare) prices displayed. A SDP could make sense for Appenzell-Grindelwald but hardly for Grindelwald-Zermatt.
However note that a SDP can not be refunded in case of a change of travel plans, while regular tickets can be fully refunded until their validity period begins (= day before travel).
