Moving out of Switzerland, cancelling GA travelcard possible?

In the terms it says GA Travelcard has a minimum contract duration of six months.

Will it be possible for me to cancel it before that 6 month mark in case I move out of Switzerland officially?

e.g. in the unlikely event that I lose my job and have to move out

No, the cancellation is not possible before 6 months.

If you are unsure about your job situation, then the 1-month GA Travel Card is the right ticket for the first months of employment.

RolandP thank you. Do you know if I can upgrade my half fare travelvard to the 1-month GA travel card the same way I would upgrade to a yearly GA travelcard?

No, it must be the annual GA.

The reason is, using the Half Fare Card, you are break even after a few rides already (e.g. one trip to Jungfraujoch).

Depending where you live, check with your HR department if there are subsidised seasonal job tickets for use in the local public transit network that are less costly than the GA option.
