Buying First Class Day upgrade

Hello guys,

I have an upcoming travel to Switzerland and I have bought a 2nd Class Swiss Travel Pass. I want to buy a class upgrade for one of my travel days. Can someone advise on how to buy it from the SBB mobile app.

Whenever I select the day class upgrade option, it states I do not fulfill the purchase conditions to buy the class upgrade, as I cannot add my Swiss travel pass in my profile. Can someone advise how do I proceed ?

Add “GA Travelcard, 2nd class” in your profile instead of “Swiss Travel Pass”.

Welcome to the SBB Community.
While purchasing the upgrade, use the pen icon in the upper right corner to modify your passenger details. There, choose ‘GA Travel Card 2nd class’. This is the resident equivalent of the Swiss Travel Pass.

Thank you guys for your reply. I was unsure if I could select GA as this is usually more applicable for the Swiss residents, than tourists.
